The American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, Inc.
Founded in 1991, the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, Inc (ACCFL) has an interest in individuals who are highly involved in commercial finance law. They operate on the following objectives:
- to promote high standards of professional and ethical responsibility in the practice of commercial finance law
- to make available to the Bar, and to the general public, authoritative educational materials in the field of commercial finance law
- to speak upon matters of interest and importance to commercial finance law
- to practice before legislative, administrative and regulatory bodies, and elsewhere
- to promote improvement of skills in the field of commercial finance law by recognizing lawyers for excellence in writing and excellence in program presentations
In addition, the program works hard to promote better legislation and find more effective commercial finance law conflict resolution.
To become a member of this group, you must show that you have the experience and knowledge necessary to make meaningful contributions in the pursuit of the ACCFL operational objectives, whether you are an attorney, an academic, or a jurist. As a result, the membership list is quite impressive, containing the names of the “Who’s who” of commercial finance law.
The ACCFL is an international organization that includes a members list of people who practice throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada. In addition, the organization works hard to maintain strict ethical standards to ensure that its contribution to society is useful and substantive.
