The DAYL or the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers is a community service organization in the Dallas Metroplex. This organization is based on and works toward two main goals. Their first is to improve life for all the young and upcoming lawyers. The second is to help all of the communities in Dallas.
This organization works hard to make the community environment a better place for our youth of tomorrow to grow up in. They work toward improving the community’s relationship with the lawyers who work there.
The organization members are also working toward making the community informed of the issues that are troubling it. They want to make sure that people are aware of exactly what is going on out there. They also want to make sure that all of the young lawyers are laying a good foundation for the future of Dallas.
The organization currently has 2,000 or more members which are a variety of lawyers and just general members of the community. This organization is not biased and will accept any lawyer not matter what race or age or sex they happen to be. The group originally started around 1920 and has grown ever since then. Over the years, they began to develop more formal meetings with more members. They also developed a board of directors to help take care of all of the day to day activities that the organization will go through. They now work in many different areas of Dallas including Legal reform, community service, and services to law students. |
